> DSM & Energy Efficiency in Australia
Major policy documents on DSM and energy efficiency in the Australian electricity industry are reviewed in a paper on demand-side participation in the Australian National Electricity Market that is available for download here. This paper presents a brief history of activity since 1992 in developing and implementing policy and regulatory initiatives aimed at increasing demand-side participation in the National Electricity Market. Three main groups have developed and implemented policy and regulatory initiatives: state governments, electricity industry regulators, and institutions responsible for the operation and governance of the National Electricity Market.
Summaries of many of the policy documents reviewed in the paper plus other important documents about DSM and energy efficiency programs in Australia are available through the links below. Two types of documents are listed: historical documents (dated between 1989 and 1999) and current documents (dated from 2000 onwards). Links are provided to PDF files of the full documents where these are available.
