EFA Joins Forces with RAP
18 May 2009
In May 2009, Energy Futures Australia joined forces with The Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP), a non-profit organisation founded in the United States in 1992.
RAP is a global team of experts that focuses on the long-term economic and environmental sustainability of the electricity and natural gas sectors, providing technical and policy assistance to government officials on a broad range of energy and environmental issues. Formed by a group of veteran utility regulators, RAP has deep expertise in regulatory and market policies that promote economic efficiency, protect the environment, ensure system reliability, and allocate system benefits fairly among all consumers. See the RAP website.
Dr David Crossley, the Managing Director of EFA has accepted a position as a part-time Senior Consultant with RAP. For RAP, David is managing a team of experts who are providing technical assistance on demand side management and energy efficiency to government, regulators and the electricity industry in China and India.
